YES IN THE KING JAMES VERSION (KJV BIBLE) WE CAN READ IN VERSE 10: THE THIEF COMETH NOT, BUT FOR TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY: I AM COME THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE, AND THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.
SO WHY DO WE NOT FOLLOW OUR LORD AND PARTAKE OF HIS ABUNDANCE?
Why is it that so many people willingly follow the thief to retire very old and wretchedly poor? Do they think that the Lord only promises; ''Pie in the sky?''
Why can they not stop doing what they are doing…even though it has no future? Is it Fear, of Snickering Friends, that forbids them to change their thought processes? Why do they so rigidly hold on to the context of job security, hard work and saving money. Do they not see that their hard earned savings are robbed via inflation. Many people grow old, and wear clothes from a time that has passed, and cling to ideas from their parent’s generation and the Industrial Age and then fall out of sync with the present and with the future. It is not a matter of a person’s age. It is a matter of a person’s thought process.
FOR AS HE (ANY MAN) THINKETH IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE"(PROVERBS 23:7.)
So how does a person begin their rich and free future life today? Again, the good news is that it begins in your mind. It begins with your words, your thoughts and your actions each and every day. It begins with taking stock of where you spend your time and who you spend your time with. It begins with knowing that you must make your plan real in order to build a bridge from where you are, over the roaring waters to your dreams. Some people are known as day-dreamers. Many people dream dreams, but the rich people create plans and build bridges to their dreams.
You can start your future today by creating a plan to your future. For many people one of the most important first steps is to stop doing today, what you do not want in your future. If you don't want to work hard all your life for earned income, start asking yourself: how can I learn to work for passive and/or portfolio income. Once you come up with some answers, make those answers part of your plan. It may mean studying more, reading more books, listening to tapes, attending more seminars, starting a home-based business, and meeting new friends. In other words, start doing today what you want for your tomorrows. There are great legal and tax advantages to Passive and Portfolio income.
"WHERE THERE IS NO VISION THE PEOPLE PERISH!" (PROVERBS 29:18).
How can I see the future if I cannot see it with my eyes? How can I see a $1,000,000 a year when I cannot see $50,000 today? With your eyes you have sight of your immediate surroundings. But God gave you a mind also, to allow you to think and plan for the future. He has also given you commandments to obey. Since He knows a lot more than you or I and can see the full picture, just simply obey them, because with God on your side, all things are possible.
So what are you thinking about? What is your mind focused upon? Do you realize that the vision you create for your life is the most important thing that you can do? Did you realize that we are all commanded to write down our goals, our dream, yes, our vision of the future, and then to visually and mentally focus upon it regularly to constantly remind ourselves of our goals, and our dream? "And the Lord answered me, and said: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets (of Stone), that he may run, that readeth it. (in other words in very large letters!) For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry (delay)...but the just shall live by his faith." (Habakkuk 2: 2-4) Why? Because faith dares the soul to go beyond what the eyes can see, your eyes can only see your immediate surroundings, therefore we are challenged to live by faith as many scriptures tell us, and focus our minds on what we believe we can achieve. Vision is what our minds only can see. The aforementioned passage of Habakkuk 2:2-4 are the Lord’s commandment. Learn and obey the Lord’s commandments. What the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve! Our minds are a great blessing from the Lord, even though we may not fully understand how they work. Why fail to fully use them? Just simply obey the Lord and live by faith!
